Coming soon will be a BMW Z1 review site with a full review of the BMW Z1, pictures of the BMW Z1, specifications, BMW Z1 performance and much more... just as soon as I have the time. In the meantime, here are a few pictures of the BMW Z1:
The folding soft top roof on the BMW Z1 functions very well as you might expect from BMW, and its lines also compliment the shape of the Z1 body. The soft top is a manual folding affair, not a power roof, but it is light and easy to use, and stows neatly beneath its cover.

With the roof up however, it becomes quite difficult to get in and out of the Z1. Make sure you leave enough room in parking spaces to climb out!

With the roof up, visibility is significantly reduced. The rear window is plastic, and the rear three quarters are obscured by the roof. Adding to that the fact that it is left hand drive means there is a large blind spot for UK roads.
All in all, the BMW Z1 is best driven with the roof down in the summer. The soft top fits very well, and should be watertight in the rain. Some cars are equipped with a factory fitted hard top, which should improve the rear visibility, but the BMW Z1's strengths are as an open top roadster.

Suzuki Cappuccino Review: A review of the early nineties Japanese sportscar, the Suzuki Cappuccino. The Cappuccino was designed a little after the BMW Z1, butit caught the same wave of fun two seater sportscars. The Cappuccino is tiny in size but big on fun, it is very well designed with a clever folding hardtop roof and it has advanced suspension geometry. The power is delivered to the Cappuccino"s rear wheels from a three cylinder 660cc turbo charged engine.
